We can hope that Carolina doesn’t make playoffs and their pick becomes lottery. It’s most likely coming down to us and Carolina for one of the wild card spots and if we can keep winning without shesterkin I like our chances. Either way we should be getting one maybe two lottery picks although they won’t have the greatest odds.

Well that’s good about smith. And idk Strome could take another bridge deal to get to his ufa status but I think he’s found his way here in New York and panarin has helped a lot.

Take a little off of Deangelo and Strome (maybe 5-5.25 million AAV for five years)
Need to add a lot more to Fast and Lemieux; at least 1 million AAV for each.
You can do better for Georgiev at the draft.
NYR will not be able to trade Smith unless it takes an even worse contract. Best to let him finish up next season and move on afterwards.
