Inter-division trades happen all the time between teams at completely different parts of their development cycle (pushing for a cup vs rebuilding). Realistically I think the trade is a bit light, just take that 2021 3rd from WPG and slap it on. Toffoli is a UFA, that should be enough.

Look at the Kings franchise trade history. Aside of the occasional draft-pick-for-draft-pick trade, or fringe NHL player trade, the Kings haven't made a substantial in-division trade since the 1990s.

They're not going to change decades of history just because Calgary really needs Toffoli and doesn't want to pay.
