I agree with you but you have to understand, by adding Filppula to this trade Bishop's value in it is decreased. You cant just give Dallas 10m+ in cap in exchange for 4m. Thats too much money they have to add to their cap. You might be able to get Eakin, Kiviaho and Honka for Bishop if it was a sign and trade deal so that Dallas didn't have to worry about trying to sign him long term. But even before any of that, Dallas has to get rid of 2 other high price goalies they have before they even think about adding Bishop.

I think you're going to have trouble finding a partner to trade with when you're giving them an additional 11 million dollars without taking back significant money, not an issue of value just logistics
