Huh?

Boston one is pretty fair
Tampa bay one makes a ton of sense
NJD works, though probably is the over pay
Wouldn’t do the MTL deal myself
Carolina deal is highway robbery
Anaheim deal is pretty standard business

Connor signed long term with a team no one wants to play for so yeah let's trade him for a guy who likely demands a trade and if not is definitely not resigning with you so you're just trading him in a season or two.

Gourde is a cap dump, a late 1st round pick for taking on that isn't worth it, who knows what Foote ends up being.

It may be an overpay, I don't hate and don't love it but it's the closest to not sucking of the trades proposed here.

Danault is a UFA, the equivalent of 2-1sts and a 4th is too much, the Jets HAVE to STOP trading good assets for rentals.

Hamonic is old, don't sign him and keep Pionk, crazy to trade Pionk, when is Bean cracking an NHL lineup??
Sorry but no thanks to that deal.

I'm fine with the Ducks trade, doubt anyone will want Perreault unless the Jets retain 50%, whether it's decline due to age or being saddled with Lowry his numbers have slid and Perreault is producing at a 4th line player level, who wants a $4M 4th line player?

So yeah the majority of these suck!

Connor signed because he was given market value, paying players what they are worth certainly helps, Charlie McAvoy is a more valuable player, but yes contracts matter. It’s a pretty fair deal.

Foote is a top end prospect, yes that’s part of the risks with dealing for prospects, but you’re betting on a good young player. JT Miller too was a “cap dump”. Gourde is still a strong player and carries value, in fact makes the Jets better even. That’s not a bad trade for either team given where each is respectively.

Hard pass on Danualt as well. Don’t disagree.

Don’t need to sign Hamonic, there’s plenty of D available. And you’re missing part of the equation, a 1st with Bean. Jake Bean can play in the NHL this year, and more likely than not be a legitimate every day guy next year. This draft is loaded top down, so the 1st has a lot of value whether it be to replenish the farm, or used as a trade asset for another dman.

Players like Perreault are moved yearly at the deadline

Fair or not McAvoy wouldn't be a Jet long term.

JT Miller was not a cap dump, now that was a trade the Jets should of made, Gourde isn't even a half point player right now on a stacked Tampa team and with that contract he in no way has much value.

The key to asset management. But low, sell high.

Gourde’s role has diminished with Tampa’s depth. If that’s their cap dump, that’s positive for the acquiring team.
