Description
I think Seider and Veleno get some games in coming out of the All Star break. The Griffins have 1 game between Jan 26-Feb 4th, while DET has 3, could be a good window to get some playing time in the NHL for each without kicking in their contracts. Ras could be an optional instead of Veleno, but he's just getting back into the swing of things, and may be better in GR for the time being. Svech could also be another possibility.

Green is out a few weeks (bye to any value he had at the TDL), and Nielsen is out at least tomorrow. AA MAY be back post All Star break, but even if he is, I still think it's time to slide the 2 rookies in for a few games. Mantha may not return this year (definitely possible, he's been out a month, will be out another month, and can't skate, so even if he started skating tomorrow, he wouldn't play until Feb).

Bernier and Glendening are easily the best guys available to move on this team. Glendening is still winning 56% of his faceoffs (top 15 in the league for those that qualify), and could easily play on a 4th line (or as a support winger on a 3rd line), and play the PK (looking at you TOR, FLA, NYI). Bernier would be a good second option for a number of teams in the league. Helm would garner more interest as a rental, but you could tempt someone if you take half his salary.

Looks fine to me. Probably most logical assessment. Cant wait to see Seider, Veleno, Rasmussen, Svecnikov etc for their 9 game trials or so. They'd be hungrier than the vets we have now who add no value to anything. Useless bums like Nielsen, Abdelkader, Filppula, Green, Ericsson should all be sent to Robidas island. They should be embarrassed with their efforts. Losers.

Deservingly so. They make millions of dollars and give out a piss poor effort. Laughable. If they had any respect for themselves they'd turn out a good effort, instead they're collecting their free money since they aren't doing anything for it. Send them off to Robidas island with Horton, Clarkson, Hossa, Seabrook etc. There are younger players out there that would kill for the chance to play in the NHL, and actually give a damn. And these losers are collecting free money to do nothing. God it upsets me as you can see.

I agree with all the vets except Filppula. He's playing out of position (due to the fact that Nielsen fell off so fast). He should have been the 3rd line C, and can play the PP and PK. At $3mm for 2 years, a pretty decent deal. It's especially true with Veleno's adjustment troubles, and Rass' injury to start the season, there was no available Cs in GR to take over, and Glendening has been playing the support winger side, and not playing as much C as previously (though he still has over 300+ FOs under his belt).

I get it, but you can't just make up an injury to send people away. I know people do it, but the NHL is cracking down on that. They investigated Hossa, Zetterberg and someone else I believe last year.
