Pettersson and Johnson can battle for the 6th d-man sport as this is the position they are best suited for and this gives the pens the best ability to battle injuries on the backend. Crosby will need a winger and Toffoli will be one of the cheapest options and will give the pens to run 4 very good lines.
This makes the Pens very deep at every position and doesn’t have them selling any of their top of the line prospects or their first rounder this year.
Desmith could be added to either trade if he makes either more likely to happen
