I think you would have to give more for cap retention on Kreider. This team would have serious cap issues next year. They going to struggle as it is

Tampa has a lot of deadline cap space, they dont need the retention so thus they dont need to pay extra for it. As for next year unless a lot of players waive Kreider is strictly a rental

Even without Kreider, still got Sergachev, Vasilevsky, Shattenkirk and Montour in this scenario.

Shattenkirk is also likely a rental, Vassy is signed, but yes i agree trading for Montour has a lot of risk to it

Take out Condon and Joseph. Replace with ABB for Kreider.

Sergachev is hard to evaluate, hes really picked up his game as of recent and is progressing well. It depends on term i think, some decent comparisons might be Hanifin, McAvoy and Slavin. I dont think hes quite at the level of McAvoy yet as Serg needs to work more on his defensive game but i think somewhere around 4.5M x 3-5 years will be close to what he gets

As a rangers fan I’d do that if you add in a conditional pick 3rd if he Re signs or TB wins East.
