Nobody has considered this, but Max Domi isn't living up to his 72-point season last season, so he could be traded
    But for what?

Are we ready to trade every player that aren't on pace for a Career Year? Trading him now, would be a mistake, his perceived value is lower than it should be. He is still on pace for 51 points. Domi has been great, despite being in a goal slump.

51 points and wants 6.5 mil on a bridge deal
the best thing to do with all players is keep signing to 1-year deals so Alzner or Backes doesn't happen

I don't know what games you have been watching but Domi has been far from great this season. He has been extremely lazy in the defensive zone and hasn't had the same patience and puck awareness in the offensive zone as he did last year. On top of that, the three games audition on LW with Suzuki at center was very revealing about his character and hockey IQ. For a guy that's played LW for most of his career, he suddenly looked lost on the ice and according to some MTL reporters, basically said he didn't want to play LW. That smells like selfishness and that's not something MTL should want in their lineup.

Domi has never been good in his own end. He is producing at a 50 point pace while being in a big goal slump. The media is blowing it out of proportion. They have to attack someone at all times it seems. Luckily we were able to wrestle Poehling from his Fortnite game long enough for last nights game...
