And you can’t go wrong with Spezza or Goat at the 4C spot. This team reminds me so much of the penguins in ‘09 and I find that so exciting.

Truly a great forward crop. I say we enjoy that view and not look at any other position on the roster...

Gauthier deserves being on this team, he's been everything he's needed to be and more this season. I agree though that Engval has looked like he belongs as well. His play more than anything has me thinking that moving Johnsson is the move to free up space and upgrade our backup goaltending.

Load (Goat) Management. Gauthier and Spezza come in and out of the lineup to ensure Spezza keeps his legs.

Not sure what the plan is to address the backup goaltender. Hopefully it gets figured out soon enough

Mikheyev - Hyman - Kapanen (yes ik hyman playing c but i think he plays c on pk)
Gauthier - Petan - Spezza

Rielly - Barrie
Muzzin - Ceci
Dermott - Holl

Andersen
Hutchinson

To be honest, I've really liked Spezza at 3C with Kapanen and Kerfoot. I'd probably just run that for the remainder of the year. Mikheyev can play on the top line with Matthews and Nylander, roll last years top line as the 2nd line (Marner, Tavares, Hyman) the earlier mentioned Spezza line and then have Engval, Goat and Moore on the 4th. Those are 4 very skilled fast and versatile lines.

It's good to have options

A couple of things.

1) I'd switch Tavares to centre and then flip Marner for Nylander. Let Nylander with all his zone entries carry the puck and feed the two best goal scorers on the team and if they just give him open looks, he has a better shot than Marner so that helps more.

2) Hyman played centre because Babs was an idiot he is a winger and only a winger.

3) Goat is the 4th line centre and will be helped with a centre at RW for the most part. Spezza I think will be used further up the lineup when he's rested.
