Murray could be a good starting point for acquiring Hall. If you add your 2020 1st, Kahun, Bjugstad, and Pierre Oliver that would work for Hall with an extension imo

Sure Murray is having a tough year, but he’s still a two time cup winner and one of the best young goalies in the league. He started off last year horrible too and yet ended the year with a .919 save percentage. Devils would get a great goalie to build around, and pens would get a dynamic winger. Only way this deal is fair is if Hall agrees to an extension. 40 games of hall does not equal 8 years potentially of Matt Murray.

Shero blew through years of Crosby and Malkin's prime, then got fired, then went to NJ, then hired the Pens AHL coach, then lost so bad they draft in the top 5 how many years in a row, then signed Subban and Simmonds, then sent Corey S to waivers then onto the AHL, then couldn't sign Hall, then fired Hynes, and is hasn't hit double digit wins yet, and these are not 1 goal games. Hall is not buying into the hype. You need a goalie, the pens have 3 NHL goalies and a butt load of injuries. Awesome prospects like Legere, Lafferty, Rust, and some vets like Bjugstad, Johnson, and NJ fans are going to find themselves in either the Tavares mess or the Conner McDavid mess where he is the best player on a team not going anywhere. Is NJ rebuilding or not that is the question. You don't sign PK and Simmonds when you are rebuilding. NJ needs a goalie a deeper defense and they will probably loose Hall in the process.
