You aren't getting a first + second for Bracco and Kossila from any team in the NHL. I doubt you even get a 2nd round pick for that package.

Point taken ... but since you singled out that trade ... I assume you're OK with the rest?

Like the Arizona trade:

To Toronto = Barrett Hayton (2018 5th overall) + Victor Soderstrom (2019 11th overall)
To Arizona = Fred Gauthier (a fourth line center) + Mac Hollowell (a 4th round pick)

And the Carolina trade:

To Toronto = Brett Pesce ($1,000,000 retained) + 1st round pick
To Carolina = Alex Kerfoot (a third line center) + 6th round pick

And the Winnipeg trade:

To Toronto = Josh Morrissey (#1D signed for 8 years) + Kyle Connor (#1 LW with $3,100,000 retained)
To Winnipeg = Jake Muzzin (a pending UFA defender) + Kaspari Kapanen (a poor mans Kyle Connor)

And the Vancouver trade:

To Toronto = 2nd round pick + 4th round pick
To Van City = Ken Agostino + Jason Spezza (two veteran press boxers)

Are you catching my drift good sir?

Reading those trades, I imagine you are trolling? I don't want to beat on you if you are lol.

Yeah pretty much ... but I wouldn't specifically say I'm 'trolling' because my intention isn't to piss off others.

I just find unrealistically good teams are more fun to make ... especially since Toronto has zero cap-space at the moment.

Also ... since you're a Habs fan and I'm not good at gauging other fan bases:

I'm curious what you'd want back from the Leafs in the following trades?

TRADE 2

TRADE 3
- John Drouin ($1,500,000 retained)

TRADE 4
- Shea Weber ($2,857,000 retained)
- John Drouin ($1,500,000 retained)
- Max Domi (without extension)

TORONTO'S TRADE ASSETS:
- Alexander Kerfoot, C
- William Nylander, RW
- Kaspari Kapanen, RW
- Andreas Johnson, LW
- Freddy Gauthier, C
- Trevor Moore, LW
- Zach Hyman, RW
- Tyson Barrie, RD (possible extension)
- Jake Muzzin, LD (possible extension)
- Cody Ceci, RD (possible extension)
- Any Leaf Prospect (minus Sandin)
- Any Leaf Draft Pick

I would say no to every trade involving these players and Toronto, but I'll play along.

Trade 1

Shea Weber

for

1st Round pick (Either 2020 or 2021)

Trade 2
Max Domi

for

William Nylander (962k retained)

Trade 3

Jonathan Drouin (Retained)

For

Rasmus Sandin
2020 or 2021 1st round pick

Trade 4
- Shea Weber ($2,857,000 retained)

I'd do Weber for Liljegren + 1st (but with some retention ... Weber's 34 and signed for 7 more years).

I'd do Domi for Nylander (if Domi's extension is pre-negotiated ... He could ask for $8,500,000+ if he gets 72 points again).

Can't do Drouin for Sandin + 1st.

- Sandin is only 19 and he already has 48 points in 68 AHL games.
- He became the Marlies #1D at 18 years old (he was the youngest d-man in the AHL at the time).

Like I said, I wouldn't do any of those trades simply because it's Toronto, but I think the value is near fair. Weber brings leadership you didn't know was possible. He completely rejuvenated Montreal's locker room chemistry. He is also lethal on he PP. Giving Toronto another option would just be crazy.

I think Domi is more valuable to Montreal than Nylander would be, but at 6 Million over a long term, I would rather Nylander than Domi at 7+

Drouin really can't be traded. His contract is simply amazing and he's french.

I was under the impression that Drouin was being shopped / in trade rumors at some point recently?
And that people have started souring on him because he's a softy / doesn't try very hard on defense?

I guess that's not true?

I've been operating under the assumption that Domi is more valuable to Montreal than Drouin is.

It's just speculation. MB is sealed tight when it comes to trading players. Most of the time the media just says **** for attention. There haven't been any solid rumors where he's being shopped.
His play this year is completely different than years past, he's playing both sides of the puck and has really changed his game around.

Domi is worth more than Drouin henced why Nylander is retained with Domi and not Drouin. Domi is almost guaranteed to make more than Drouin on his next contract which should even the value out a little bit more.
