Detroit isn't trading Zadina (19) he is their #1 prospect. Now Pearson (27) is a solid and he broke 20 goals once but Detroit would be his 4th team in a year and that's why Yzerman would steer clear of him. Stecher (25) is a solid middle pair Dman but Detroit already has a few middle pair defensemen. Even if Detroit trades Zadina they will want a first pair dman. Markstrom (29) has been a solid NHL goalie over the past couple of seasons but their are other options that don't that don't involve Detroit giving up their prospect. I know you said they all sign extensions but Detroit is probably going to have the worst record and finish in last place this season. Next year the Wings will be better but I don't think they will be a playoff team again. So realistically Markstrom won't resign in Detroit. Markstrom is 29 and playing some of the best hockey of his career. He just isn't going to resign with a team that is around 3yrs from the playoffs. Especially when there are some very good teams looking a solid back up or a 1b goalie.
