Just basing off a rumor I heard. Its not far value wise at all though. A team like Anaheim have an internal cap, we say a similar move when they shipped out Ryan for SIlferberg and futures. Getting a solid 1st rounder isn't awful value for Fowler, who was rumoured to go at the draft for a pick around #10.

Again with the Avs, if they can get a offensive dman in Fowler, for about $2mill less than Barrie wants, they might pull the trigger. Needing to resign MacK only makes it more difficult to lock up Barrie.
