Mayfield is more a bottom pairing defenseman. Not sure that he can play 23-25 minutes a game against top line day after day. He sure have been a reliable assets in barry trotz system but he isn’t a game changer. That why i have spotted jeff petry, he is a all around defender with great speed, who can play 25 minutes night after night.
