2 things,
1) I don't see any benefit for NJ at all
2) Pavel Zacha imo is not and should not be on the block

If you were trading for zacha alone, you'd be parting with some players I don't think detroit or their fans want to move. (namely recent first round picks)
If you're considering schneider a dump, I don't think the devils staff is as convinced as everyone else that his days as a starter are done
In the event we look to acquire a goalie, I'm not sure pickard is the guy we go for

Noppppppe! Don't need a goalie way past his prime nor aging players I see that you are giving away Nielsen, but I don't want Vantanen either. This team is rebuilding. Go for Lehner during free agency.

I don't know about AA. Right now he is in a slump but as pointed out by a couple of reporters he is still getting his chances and playing as well he did last year so its only a matter of time before he starts scoring. I think by the end of the season $6.75M will be very close but I'm not sure if he will sign for 5 years.

Pickard, Neilson and Schneider no one wants leaving Zacha and the 4th rd pick the only valuable pieces in the trade. I know NJD would never accept this trade and I would have a hard time believing Detroit would even suggest a deal like this.
