If you bury Copley and trade Stephenson, you don't need to trade Djoos

While true, I think it may still be a good idea. The Caps have Alexeyev, Fehervary, Geisser, Johansen, Lewington, Hobbs, etc. in the system. I think they will survive without him. Just me though....

Sure, they have lots of depth. If those guys are definitely ready for the NHL and canl definitely put up more points than Djoos, and/or play better defense, then maybe it makes sense? Or if Hutton will sign cheaper than Djoos to join a contender? Otherwise, give Djoos some power play time this year, while he's healthy, to boost his trade value, while still having three good, young LHD ready to play, after expansion?
