I may have mentioned this when you posted this on the Caps' side, but Orlov-Subban is immediately the best defensive pair in the NHL.
Orlov has Butcher's offense, plus Greene's defense, and is Subban's age. Throw in Bratt, Coleman, or Zacha, and it's close. And since you mentioned cap space, and you're looking at pitching Zacha here ,anyway, let's go with Butcher, Zacha, and a 2nd, for Orlov and Stephenson.
And if Zacha doesn't fit in the Caps' salary cap picture this year, he can hold out, play in Europe, and still be a good prospect for next year.
edit: I notice you don't have many seconds. Counter with an A- forward prospect? It's close.
second edit: none of the other Caps fans think trading Orlov is realistic, and based on his XGF rel last year, he's the Caps #1 defenseman, so they're right. What about just Zacha for Djoos to give the Devils another good puck mover without wrecking Washington's chance to repeat?
