This is what I’d like the Oilers to look like next year.

Virtanen is the type of player I would like back for Puljujarvi. A player who is slightly struggling on the team there in but have great potential. Any player like him will do. In this situation Virtanen would have a decent season with the oilers like 30-40 points.

Kris Russell would be taken by Seattle in the expansion draft. I doubt he would have a problem waiving is clause. 3rd Round pick is compensation for taking him.

Ottawa will need some defence eventually and Larsson is a good low end top 4 defensemen. And brown is just a player I like that I don’t think they’ll have trouble parting with.

Chiasson is a good player last year. But I’m not sure he’ll be able to recreate that season. So I think they will probably trade him at the deadline or something. Penguins are just a random team I picked.

There’s been a lot of rumours about a Kreider trade, but I think he’ll likely be a free agent by the end of the season. Brodie is a good RHD that I don’t think Flames will be able to afford next year. And moving to from Calgary to Edmonton probably wouldn’t be a big deal for him. Radil is just a 4th line fill in.

Griess is a goalie that I think is decent enough to split time with Koskinen. No real way to fix the goalie situation rather than Koskinen playing good.

Jones will probably hopefully have a good year playing with oilers. Kassian I’m sure will be good enough to resign. And Bouchard, Bear, and Pearson will probably all me good enough to play. I’m thinking Bouchard and Pearson will be better though. If there similar they can split time.
