Personally Smith makes me excited, if doesn’t run into injuries and atleast reaches 60% of potential he’s still basically a top 2/4 D and If he can even scratch his potential he’s a superstar

I’d still say no. Leafs can get much more than a 3rd liner. A 4/5 dman that cant stay healthy and a prospect

Calling Smith just a prospect isn’t good lol. That’s like me calling Sandin just a prospect which most leafs fans would scoff at that. There’s levels to prospects. Me saying I’ll offer you San Jose’s 2nd Best D prospect, would be just a prospect ( M Ferraro ), me offering Merkley isn’t just a prospect. Smith is once again like a Brännström, a top LEAGUE prospect not top TEAM prospect.

That’s literally the worst out look, if you said ex 1 2 3 are why you think smith isn’t good than that would be an argument. Calling him just a prospect isn’t an argument lol. That’s like saying Matthews or Mcdavid we’re just prospects, there’s levels to drafts and levels to the value of a prospect, like being a prospect doesn’t devalue you, it’s what/ who/ your play/ etc that determine your value not a label lol
