DeAngelo is not accepting a mil

He may have to since he has no leverage without arbitration rights, but if does it won't be for two years.
Hopefully they free up some more space and give him $2mill or so. That would still be a good deal for the team, and at least DeAngelo wouldn't feel like he was getting robbed.

Everyone wants to give DeAngelo & Lemeiux multi-million, multi year deals when they have no leverage & its in the teams short term interest to give them 1 year qualifiers. They can hold out, but there are other players that can take their place like Fox, Rykov, Hajek, Reunanen, Nieves, McKegg, Fast, Kravtsov Lettieri & DiGuiseppe

I wouldnt be upset if he took a mil but i believe its just too low for his services
