How much domi gettin next year

I think if he has another 70pts year, he's gonna get around 7M/7,5M on a long term contract

its doable but not wise
we'd have a lot of guys coming off the books we'll replace with youth

13m for Juulsen , Mete and Domi is still a stretch though if he's just scratching Reilly and Kulak as thats around 3.3m cap wasted for nothing
it still screws you for signing Tatar ,Gallagher,Armia and Petry if you plan on Re-signing Danault , Kotkanemi , Poehling , Lehkonen and Fleury the following year .(and you'd just barely have enough cap to cover those 5 relying on the Brooks ,Evans,Ylonen's,Cauflieds and Teasdale's to step up

its to tight of a squeeze in my opinion as it eliminates the odds of MTL re-signing Gallagher almost entirely .

IMO they get rid of Tatar and Petry at this year TDL.

Within two years Petry and Tatar will more likely be traded for high draft picks maybe with retained salaries. Next offseason they buyout Alzner contract and Weise contract ends.

now if we dont sign Gardiner totally different story
but that 6m matters even if its just 1 year that it screws us its the year our entire core needs contracts and we got 20m invested in 2 players who provide defensive protection

Brook and Suzuki are likely to push them out this year whether its at Camp or after Christmas it will happen

i think we Trade Gallagher if we're smart , the same way we did Plekanec treating him with respect and allowing him to choose teams
regardless of him not having a NTC so that he understands its just about getting value off his rights before entering into bidding on his rights like MTL would have either way in hopes he signed a team friendly deal .

use the Gallagher trade to make changes
he'll bring in a NHL starter of Value we can use along with picks
if we do half as good as the Plekky deal that in the end got us Kulak and Jacob Olofsson then we're golden .(keeping in mind thats a good return for plekanec, Gally will get better pieces)

i'd personally use Gallagher to acquire a Defensman like Gostisbhere or Nutivaara on team friendly deals with 3-4 year term who can play both LD and RD well .

It will be interesting to see which player will be chosen by Seattle
