Much more than the above... Lehkonen isn’t a guy that wed trade just for the sake of trading him... Hed be a great add up to a bigger trade

I figured it wouldnt be cheap, but I just didnt know what his value on the trade market would look like. I would figure if he would be traded, the other team would have to take on the Alzner contract or something of that nature as well. The Sharks obviously dont have the space for that. I was messing around with this adding in Alzner and Dillon LD swap... but that Alzner contract was hard for me to try and take on. Would have had to have Dillon and Melker going back in return to make the cap work.

It's not that their value is extremely high or that they're untouchable, just that if they're traded Bergevin would be looking for that exact type of player again.

The Habs strength is their depth and trading those guys doesn't really make a whole lot of sense right now.

Their depth is amazing. I'm looking at it and wondering how they are going to figure out who goes where in the lineup. Really like what they are doing.

Lekhonen/weal<->Labanc/5th

I know the offer was an extremely low offer. That's why I was asking in the explanation on what a realistic trade for them would look like. And Labanc is definitely not it. Everyone always wants to say "start with Labanc". Dont go down that road unless you are parting with more than Lehkonen. Labanc already has two 40 point seasons at a younger age than Lehkonen, who's biggest season so far is 31 points. And Labanc is on a much better contract.

Even if I'm not a great fan of Lehkonen, his value is much more than that. these two players (Lehkonen and Weal) are ones of the favorites of the coach Claude Julien...Maybe if you offer Meier or Labanc they accept the deal!!!....ah ah ah!!!

1)Lehkonen has more goals than Labanc! In the same number on nhl game...

2) Lekh is a better defensive player.
