Description
Make the best possible, cap compliant 23 man roster with:
2 ELC's
2 35+ Contracts (can sign 35+ UFA's to contracts based on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15E1qqh3OfHvvhbv_pICfKT7VR1jJEVhWQOyKviWLN54/edit#gid=707766415 and they count as the last team they played on)
All contracts 2 or more years remaining
No more than 2 players per team

My Team:
2 ELC's = Dahlin, Petterssen
2 35+ = McElhinney, Thornton (2 x $3,757,582)

Scheifele is on RW as he's played there on international teams and I wanted that top line to be a great two-way line with a LH & RH center for face offs. Similar approach pairing Crosby and MacKinnon on line two, but this one will end up being fed the softer match ups. Line three has Joe signed to a two year deal to chase his cup as the slower play making center with a quick sniper and a speedy winger to chase down lose pucks. Fourth line has a great shooter with two big bodied more traditional fourth liners to hopefully have the ability to actually finish the chances their board work can generate. Scratched forwards are a good PK guy and an improving center who just had a great run to the cup finals that would draw in on the fourth line bumping Bjorkstrand up to the top 9 should an injury occur.

Top defensive pairing was team North America's top pair from the 2014 World Cup of Hockey and the bottom one should also have good chemistry from playing alongside one another on the Island. Each pair has a solid defensive guy with a more offensive minded puck mover. Scratched defender is a left shot that can play the right side so would be comfortable with him drawing in anywhere in the bottom four defense positions should injuries crop up.
