Alot of people trading for Gusev + another player. That’s not Vegas problem really. They just need to trade either Reaves/Holden or Gusev. Trading Gusev + Eakin doesnt make any sense for a team that has no cash problems and want to challange for the cup.

Take either Gusev or Eakin out pf the equation or give us something back that would still make Vegas competitors.

i feel like no team is gonna take Eakin or Reaves to help vegas sign Gusev. They are just gonna have to take the best offer for Gusev

Eakin is a valuable asset on any team where Reaves maybe only on a couple of teams, GM's will make any trade if they feel it improves their team

I’m 98% shure that all the leagues GMs think otherwise. If they have space or need for them is another question.

What was the price for 1 year of Justin Williams? Exactly, a first round draftpick.

So gimme 4 firsts for Lucic and we're having a deal.

If your a GM in the West, then your 98% not gonna wanna help them sign Gusev, unless your getting back an asset that is better than Eakin. If your a GM in the East , then your 98% still gonna ask for Gusev, an the if there is no deal to be made then maybe a team in will take Eakin for a cheap. Thats how i see it playing out. I still think they will just take the best offer for Gusev, which will most likely be a pretty good deal for them, especially since they got Gusev for nothing

Yes, at the moment it feels more likely that the Knights will be trading Gusev. My original point was - if they do - they won’t also trade another piece (Eakin, Reaves, Smith, random defender and Clarkson (which will bring down the value of Gusev). Theres no point to it. Either keep Gusev and ship somebody or ship Gusev and keep the team from last year.

    They’re 3-4mil from the ceiling. Not 7-9mil.

of course they aren't going to want do any favors for them, any deals a GM makes is for the best interest of their own team. 98% is just pure conjecture from you with no basis other than your opinion. Vegas won't trade Eakin, he has too much value to them, I doubt they move Gusev either. There are other pieces that they can move

The 98% was a follow up from a comment above. My comment wasn’t based on who they are gonna move but just pointing out the dynamic between GMs, surrounding Gusev and the Vegas cap situation. Who will they move then? Reaves? I didn’t think that would make enough room

toronto gave up a similar conditional first to get rid of marleau, so for 3 years of lucic you would have to add to that.

Moving Haula, makes the likelihood of trading either Eakin or Gusev unlikely, They won't go from 10 top 9 players to 8, The players likely gone from a team who has stated over and over that they are in a win now mode is Holden and Reaves, even if they have to provide sweetners for other teams
