Why would you offer sheet Pierre Luc-Dubois to that contract? He will be a 1st line center for years to come so don’t get me wrong, but that is a hefty price to pay (the compensation and the contract) when we already have Zibenejad as our 1C and Chytil, Howden, Andersson, and Henrikson (in the future) to one day take on the remaining center roles.

He's going to be a beast 1c, something we haven't had since Messier and Zib is a true 2c. Any of these Cs can play wing, lines don't matter as they're interchangeable and continuously rotated. Compensation is well worth it after loading up the team with kids.
