right so we start with player A. Player A is traded for and the compensation is a 2nd and 3rd round pick.
Player B is a superior player on the ice. Defensively and Offensively. Has missed no more than 8 games in any of the past 4 seasons. is signed to a 4 mil contract that lasts through the year and he's available to resign.
In addition to the inferior play, Player A also has been dealing with injuries the past few years, Averaging missing 20% of the season over the last 3 years. Player A is an RFA coming off a 3mil season and is expecting a raise at a minimum.
Now with all that in play you'd think Player B would be worth a minimum 1st....
And then a 2nd and 3rd would be a discount...

I think he's worth a couple of 3rds.
