The management can break out about 1500 advanced stats that show Tavares actually drove that line, and Matthews was miles and I mean miles ahead of him in value while playing with 3rd line players vs Tavares. Its honestly not close. Im such a big fan but seeing Marner and his ego wanting way more money than he deserves makes me not care if he leaves. I dont think the team can be successful blowing 2+ mil more than needed on him

lol nah this forward core is the deepest in the league. Still have Bracco who is 22 RW and just led the AHL in scoring. As long as Matthews and Tavares are here they are fine. PLus 11 mil cap space to spend on something else

It's a prediction. If Marner leaves and there's no major moves done to that defense, I seriously doubt this team's possibilities to get in the playoffs.

I think its because you overrate Marners production. Hes a great play making winger, nothing more. Not that good defensively, average at best PK, and cant take faceoffs to save his life. Without looking I think there are UFAs you would plug in on RD and RW with that 11 mil and the team would not miss a step

Oh shut up and relax, he'll get signed. Im an oilers fan and when Drai got signed it was for to much especially compared to pasternack and elhers but we signed him long term and now it looks like a steal. Even if you have to over pay he's really good, and an absolute joy to watch.
