I'd try and see if that three way deal where lucic is dealt for neal can be done cause neal can help out that brutal right side. and if not, try and move benning and aquire a connor brown type to help the depth on the right side.

Like the trade though with winnipeg, poolparty reunites with laine and they get a serviceable dman while edm gets a young, speedy guy in roslovic and a roster spot that can be a nice buyout candidate next yr (if he blows) in perault

Wouldn't want to do Benning for Brown in this situation as RD is weaker without Russell. Any Lucic swap be it Eriksson or 3 way for Neal would be fine

brown is a cheaper and younger option however and sekera con place on the right side as a bottom pair plus there is bouchard that looks nhl ready so i think the right side d is looking fine. I'd rather focus on getting something affordable that addresses the need of depth on the wing without doing anything crazy

Sekera has always played much worse on right side, Bouchard will start in AHL if Holland keeps his word. If you really wanted Brown in this situation would be for a pick then minus the Carpenter signing
