VGK has the money to pay the salary
and unless you heard Clarksons annual attempt at returning is going excellent and he'll be in VGK line up then there's no reason to dump a Cap that buried on LTIR for nothing

Doesnt work like that! The salary could only be buried after the start of the season soo at the end of training camp the salary of clarkson count full on salary cap so they would have too waive some player that would be taken by other team that why they try too get rid of him

Why does not one here understand LTIR?

They have to shed the salary, or they're pinned with no ability to make any moves within the season. I don't think Hague gets moved, but if I'm the Knights I happily toss someone a 2nd to take Clarkson.
Pharow a aimé ceci.

yeah i noticed how that really held them back their first 2 years *Rolls Eyes*

if they want to move Eakin or Haula make more sense as they can get paid while creating contract space .

what you're suggesting is giving up their last D prospect of value to move out Clarksons 1 year remaining and you have the audacity to say i dont understand whats up ?

yeah sure
so they possibly lose a Zykov they claimed on waivers or a Pirri they signed after FLA terminated his contract after training camp .

that seems like a huge blow they wont recover from
better give away their last defense prospect worth developing to move out 1 year term on 5m

They are already over the cap for next season and still have too sign karlson! So doesnt make sense no, they need too clear avout 7 millions so do the math they need too move a few players and still need too fill the hole iff you trade haula and smith and whatever! Thats why clarkson with is almost 6 millions become the solution

im not saying anything about saving term , i get what you're saying
im saying you're 2 years to late for this being reasonable at that cost .

i mean MTL taking on Mason at a similar situation only got Armia who was a journeyman bottom 6 penalty killer .
asking for Hague just seems a little uneven

there is lots of options with Karlsson

you could trade his rights for a player that's locked in

you could trade Eakin or Haula with Mcnabb or Miller for a profit and clear cap
you could just sign none of your UFA's giving all cap remaining to Karlsson hope everyone stays healthy .

not all the options are good but all them are better then giving away one of their lad Prospecs of Value .
i mean if you were offering them something back in return like a Teasdale or Evans then it kinda makes sense .

There a thing you call salary cap! I’ll tried too use somme easy word so you could understand!
The cap is fix at 82 millions maybe next season. So at the last day of training camp all you player that is on you 24 roster player count on the salary cap! Even if he is injured.
Are you with me ?? Understand?
So if youre 24 players roster is worth more than 82 millions you need too send down people too clear the cap space too get under the cap! Still following? So zykov and pirri that arent on the team anymore by the way are worth **** and have two way deal so they start in the minors and even count on salary cap! So they’ll need too send t few player eith one way contract to go under 82 millions and will lost them for nothing
