Whoa there on that Carolina trade. Beaudin was the #27th pick OA last year and had a great year in the juniors. He is turning pro this year. That means, he's easily increased his value this year. Anisimov is worth a 3rd or 4th worst case. No reason to throw in Beaudin. If you want to move Beaudin, get a 1st round pick back for him.

Carolina is just a placeholder, and Beaudin is as well. There are just so many moving pieces but I believe that it will take Anisimov and a pretty decent prospect to get back an average prospect and recoup a mid round draft pick. The Blue Jackets offered a third round pick for Anisimov at the trade deadline 2 years ago and his value has dropped considerably since then.

All the hawks beat writers are saying Anisimov is worth a 3rd or 4th. Beaudin is a 1st round pick, he shouldn't be the expense of moving Anisimov.
