Kessel goes to pit **sigh**

Description
That's exactly what Toronto will ask for with kessel. An elite D prospect, first round pick, and a forward asset who they can flip at deadline for addition picks/ prospects. Plus taking on a bad contract. I am personally against a Phil kessel trade due to the cap hit and the assets required to acquire him. I would be more comfortable with the less skilled, but arguably just as effective TJ oshie who would be much cheaper. Pens would also need a D signing to compensate pouliots loss. Either sekera or franson will work but I prefer franson. Pens would also flip Sutter for a forward prospect.

I picked Vancouver because benning clearly doesnt use corsi. But any team with a young forward prospect and a hole at #2 centre could be an option. (Baring that they overate Sutter)

      I'd resign Chorney for your 7D. You'd still have around $2 in cap room.

      If you were offering all of that for kessel I'd have them retain some of his contract.
      And instead of booth I'd bring up kapanen.

      Taking a bad contract like scuderi is all the leafs will do. They don't want a retained amount on the books for years. And Id rather give kappenen lots of ice time in the AHL rather than little in the NHL. No point to rush him.
