Duchene Elite ? Plekanec was a 3rd Centerman ( fans sayin that ) and Plekanec reached 69-70 points at the same age of Duchene. Plekanec never been Elite, Duchene is best season is 72 points I think. I dont think Duchene is a good option IMO

If I was Bergevin, I’ll focus on Karlsson. If Karlsson sign, you can trade Petry for something very good. Domi is better at Center than winger, why move him ? Domi KK Danault Poehling, doesn’t need another Center. I can see KK Danault Poehling as Center, Domi Drouin Lehkonen as LW. For now, keep Domi at Center and let’s be patient.

As you already know , Mtl has to win short term (Price , Weber) and build for long term. This is the paradoxe. And this what is making it interesting for the armchair community. II think Mtl would be better with a UFA like Duchene or Karlsson. They have to use this cap space somehow. I wasn't a fan of Duchene but he did a great job in the playoff with Columbus.

Price is good another 5 years, Weber will still be playing at 40 yo. We will win when Suzuki Romanov Brook Poehling Ylonen will join the team. For now, we can just enjoyed ! lol

Karlsson have yet to decide , Duchene i would think we are in his last 8 destination we'Re he can choose from . For Domi at center it felt good , but we are talking about adding a 1C for free ! Domi was nowhere dominant in the circle and can easy move to left i don't see how this would reck his game . Anyhow we need Duchene to be interested in the first place AND we need to overbid 10m is the price tag . If Mtl sign Karlsson, we could get another A prospect in tradind Petry. This would add up to the future. Ratcliffe and more for Petry would be an easy deal to settle with Philly.

Well they tried it a bit a year ago but the result we're haft and haft . Mete can play with Weber but if so we need a 5th defenceman like Will Butcher or Nicolas Beaudin or any offensive defenceman that could anchor the Pp because Mete shot is mediocre .
