Love the ANA deal

Big fan of the Anaheim deal, too. I think taking on Perry, Callahan and Kulikov is too much Cap. So considering Kulikov and Perry are both needed to make those respective trades work, I would pass on the Callahan trade. Otherwise, I like it.

Callahan is just for one season, though, so I think it's worth doing. The Anaheim deal is great, I'm not sure they would do it but it's a great idea. I'd add a little to it if needed. Oh, and I'm definitely stealing this idea from you for one of my future ACGM.

I like the ANA trade in that this is the way the Rangers should be thinking- and the value on both sides is fair...just don't think that this is the way ANA should be thinking...as good a player as Kreider is- it makes much more sense for a contender to take him on this type deal...even after acquiring CK, and dumping Perry, ANA still has a lot of work to get younger and get into the playoff discussion...and you don't initiate that by trading a #9 and a top prospect.

Thanks guys appreciate the feedback. Figured for next year with buying out both Kulikov and Callahan it would only cost $3 total vs the cap next year with Girardi buyout hit down to $1.11 million. With Anaheim I don’t feel like they’re in a rebuild yet. Have Steel, Terry and Lundstrom so figured they could part with one and the pick. Might need to have Kreider extension to get it done from their perspective
