No chance Lee takes that deal. Maybe $6M on a very long term (8 yr) but no way for 4. It's going to be a 7x5 or 7x6 whether we like it or not.

Similar comment for Duchene. Skinner just got 9. Duchene is worth every bit of that for 7 years.

Lehner would probably want more years. 4M is a reasonable number but another team (like CGY or CAR) could easily outbid 4x2. And sure, Lehner loves it here, but he wouldn't leave 10M+ on the table

I don't love the idea of Kovalchuk playing top 6 minutes. 3rd line LW with bailey or Beau + Cap retained? Different story.
