semi-realistic offseason improvements

Description
Tried to keep this semi-realistic, although there's probably still some wishful thinking in here.

-- Minnesota could very well say no to the Zucker trade, which would be fair enough. It's possible there's just not a deal to be had here.

-- Give Edler big money for two years in order to free up some cap space in 2021 when Pettersson/Hughes become RFAs. He's too irreplaceable to let go.

-- Zaitsev is a gamble. You hope he can regain the form he showed in his rookie season playing alongside Edler. He shouldn't cost too much to acquire because he's largely a cap dump for Toronto.

-- Connolly seems like a decent target to me — 21 even strength goals in 13 mins/game is terrific production. And he's a BC guy. Would go a little higher on that contract if needed.

-- Chiarot and Kuhnackl are cheap, decent pickups. Stay far away from overpriced guys like Myers.

-- There's still a ton of overpriced crap on this roster that can't be moved. Sutter is the one guy who could probably be traded for a low pick. We're probably stuck with everyone else.

-- I dunno, this *might* be a playoff team if Tanev stays healthy and the West is weak again next year. But it's certainly not a contender.

Don't think Sutter is a fit with NYI. Can easily get someone of better talent in FA spending that $4.3M cap hit. Brassard for example

Just a few nit picks.

I think you probably have to eat some salary on Sutter, I think your Chiarot contract is a little light and I don't Minnesota making that deal.

I'm not saying Zucker is off the table but Minnesota apparently asked for Boesser when Vancouver initially asked about Zucker. Zucker is not only a 30 goals scorer he's an advanced stats God so i don't think Virtanen, the rights to Hutton & a 2nd gets that done, Zucker had more goals last year than Jake has in his career.

Yeah, those are all fair points. I’m not at all wedded to a destination for Sutter, just want him gone to clear salary. Would be happy to eat $1 mil of cap. But he could very well be untradeable, sadly.

On Minnesota, Boeser is definitely a nonstarter unless someone like Dumba is on the table (which he won’t be). Last rumor I saw for Zucker was Virtanen/Tanev, and this offer is arguably better but I wouldn’t blame the Wild for saying no. Not entirely sure why they’re so hot to move him in the first place tbh.

Biggest takeaway from fiddling with this thing is that the Canucks are *really* hard to improve. So much deadweight...
