Why ?

TML are set for next 5 years, so they dont need 2019 1st round and now the shocker, they dont even need 2020 1st round, cause if 2021 1st round is the earliest great prospect to draft, he will have three years to make it to team, 2022 1st will have two years to fill what will be depleted after "next five years" period etcetc

Trouba has been vocal about not wanting to play in Canada so the Leafs, or any other Canadian team, might be real hesitant about making such a deal unless they get a guarantee from Trouba and his agents that he is interested in signing with them if traded there. Also, I believe that Pietrangelo has one year left on his contract yet you have him coming to the Leafs as a FA,,,you'd have to trade assets to get him to the Leafs for next season.

If Pietrangelo would have one more year, Capfriendly wouldnt allow OP to sign him as FA.

I think it treats him as a free agent because leafs fan is treating this as the 2020/2021 season. Glendon is correct about Piety boy, he is signed for one more year with the blues (2019-2020 season). The problem with jumping right to the 2020/2021 season, is there is no accounting the changes needing made for the 2019/2020 season, so this lineup is not realistic anyways.
