I thought we'd weaponize the capspace the NYR have. I think Smith will be buried in Hartford. Rykov and Igor will be there too. I think Name goes to SJ cause they were sniffing for a mid 6 player when they got Nyquist. I don't know what to do with a lot of the RFA like DeAngelo, Pionk, Lemieux etc... guestimated the cap hits by rounding Evolving Wild's contract demands. I don't like Kreider being traded cause that limits their offensive power and puts a heavy burden on the rookies Kakko and Kravtsov. That being said the defense needs help badly. I don't think this team competes for a playoff spot as is but will aid in filling the prospect pool, as we should expect more callups especially on defense with Miller and Lundkvist either in 2020 or 2021.
