Why would you move him? I wasn’t a fan of him for the longest time, but he’s clearly proven to be the perfect one-two punch with Weber, and has also proven that he can replace him for a reasonably long time.

NYR could be a good fit. i would see a late 1st round pick like the the first they got from the Jets. Or maybe two second round picks.

Janmark his a good bottom 6 forward so i don't think they will be interest by him ( MTL bottom6 = byron,shaw,lecko,armia,thompson,weal) + kk and poeling while they are still young

Your trade make sense in term of value but the habs would politely decline I think. trade make sense in term of value = good on Xbox / Ps4, not automatically great in real life !

Do you think NYR are really done with theire rebuilding process ? Because trading young assets for a 31 years old D don't make sense for a rebuilding team (witch I think they still are)

Maybe trading with the florida panther for mike hoffman and 2 rounder! Florida his horrible on defence and hoffman would bring a solid presence on power play for montreal and a scoring touch! Trade would go like petry and matthew peca for mike hoffman and a second rounder and a B prospect on defence

Not exactly. Petry is at his best in term of value. If an hamonic like proposal is offer to Bergevin, why not jump on the occasion ? In a hypotetical Trade, that would alowed us to getting max value + we can protect julsenn/Fleury in the expansion draft. Of course our right side would suck this year, but short term sucess is not my preoccupation... In contrast with Bergevin whoe's job is on the line !

That the point! Bergevin might want too get a max value! Florida have a lot off asset down front and a lot of very good offencive prospect! But they would have too get hoffman contrat back too equal petry value because they want panarin and bobrosky on market this summer!

Ok ok understant your point. But Hoffman is not a salary dump, he as value. I think we can take the Reimer contract and use him as a backup. So it could look like this :
Jeff Petry vs Reimer (salary dump) + one or two asset that florida are agree to letting go/interest Timmins and Marc. At this point, it is pure speculation, but for the fun : Jeff Petry vs Reimer + Heponiemi + serron Noel.

Your maybe right. But, when you take time to announce your fans your are going full rebuild, I do think you need to have a plan for the long term. So far, their rebuild is going great IMO and next year they could Trade kreider at the deadline for another good asset. I do not think they will sign Karlsson. If they do, your are right and i am wrong !
