thats a hard no to the first deal. 3 prospects and an average dman for a number 1 center on probably the best deal in the nhl.

leddy has a lot more value than "an average dman"...no idea if this would happen (likely wouldn't) but i do know that huberdeau is not a center

I like both trades for the Isles. Just be aware that you're close to maxing out for next year. You have $3.5 in cap space and can assume that the cap will rise at least another $3M next year. Add Greiss's and Martin's hits and that's $12.333M freed up. It will take at least that to re-sign Barzal, Pulock and Toews. Meanwhile, you will have to get a cheap backup goalie and 4th-line winger (Koivula?). So keep an eye on that needle.
