if we wanted to accelerate the rebuild this how i would try to do it (not sure if the monahan trade is fair). the d is still a work in progress but I like the offense. This a young team that also leaves us in a decent cap situation going into the future with a lot of money coming off the books in a year or two

CGY with a hard reject. Monahan is a first line center who I think is better than Zibanejad. Kreider is expiring, Pionk is excess to CGY plethora of defenseman and the pick is pretty late at #20.
