Well rantanen only had a 0.02 higher PPG and he was playing on the 2nd best line in hockey, not unreasonable to think Marner could get More.

Nobody will offer sheet at the top tier. No GM is that dumb. Colorado can't offer sheet at the 2nd highest tier because they don't have their 3rd round pick.

Offer sheets are nice fodder, but they are an extreme rarity. Nylander would have liked one last year. If anyone gets one it'll be of the 2nd round variety like Johnsson or Kapanen. But the player would probably be traded before it gets that far. Like the Hawks did with Saad

You lost me when you actually resigned Kerfoot and then gave him 5 years at 5 million. the guy isnt worth anything over 2.5 million and it would be a 2 year deal max.

I could see them doing a long term deal with JTC. Like Vegas did with Tuch who is 23 years old. who got a 7 year deal at 4.75 million. Which will look like a steal of a contract in a few years. He put up 37 points then 52 points this past year.

Kerfoot 24 years old put up 43 and 42 points.. Thats looking like his max.
