Homegrown team with no moves in 19-20

Créé par: HarterCart79
Équipe: 2020-21 Flyers de Philadelphie
Date de création initiale: 28 mai 2019
Publié: 28 mai 2019
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Voracek is the only player on this roster not drafted by the Flyers. Just shows how deep this team could be if nothing is done this year to block the kids from coming up. If they do make moves, I hope it is to use picks prospects to add impact pieces now and go for it, because otherwise those moves just block guys from roster spots. If we're not going to use them on the roster, use them to make it better.

Patrick will never sign that contract for 6 years, maybe a bridge deal (like 2 or 3 yrs)

You left out a few players. What happened to Gudas, and Raffl? a 4th line of Hartman, Raffl, Laughton seems like certainty at this point. JVR making 7M on the 4th line? probably 2 of Abe-Kubel, Ratcliffe and Farabee will probably start on the Phantoms. Plus they will sign some kind of veteran goaltender to back up Hart. I like your idea of going young with homegrown talent, but i don't see that happening.

I can agree with that. I guess I was just basing my salary off of a player who hasn't shown yet that he's going to be worth 6+mil a season. I guess I gave the value of a bridge with the length of a long-term deal, you're right. I'll adjust and say 3 years. The point is that they've got a lot of young, homegrown talent haha

And Raffl was a FA signing too. Point was that they weren't brought in VIA trade or played for any other NHL teams. So the description should read "Voracek is the only player to ever wear another uniform in the NHL". Which would also be wrong because of JVR...whatever you get the idea I was going for haha

It is for 20-21 dude. I'm showing what their team could be with an offseason of nothing, and then bringing up kids who are highly touted prospects to fill cheap roles rather than spend or acquire via trade. Basically making the point that the Flyers are set, so should they trade some pieces/prospects to acquire better roster players now I won't be upset at the idea. There's not enough room as it is for these kids to come up.
