You should work for Wild owner Craig Leipold - he is this stupid too!!
So you're telling me that Kessel + Johnson for Zucker + Rask is even value? Zucker is a great 2nd /3rd line player. He brings speed, energy and some scoring (21G's and 42 Pts) but he's nowhere near the player Kessel is (27 G's 82 Pt's). Kessel is still an elite winger in the NHL. Rask and Johnson are a wash value wise.
Minnesota has a ton of high-end forward prospects in Kaprizov, Kunin, Donato, Greenway, Erickson Ek, Bitten and Sokolov. Kaprizov is untouchable but Kunin, Greenway and Donato are all very good prospects (not elite). Key word "prospects".... there is absolutely no guarantee that any of them will ever be as good as Kessel is right now.
Why wouldn't they part ways with one of them (they still have a ton of high end prospects) to acquire an immediate impact, elite winger? If you have to give up one of those prospects to get a 30 goal scoring, point per game guy, I think it’s very well worth it.
