No need to grab Pouliot. We have Koekko, Dahlstrom, Gilbert and Carlsson all serviceable guys on the 3rd line.

Also, you've signed Perlini (most obvious) and Kampf and Sikura to too much. Perlini = $1M to $1.5M max, Sikura = $900K to $1.25M max, Kampf = $1M to $1.5M max.

The biggest issue, with the assumption the Hawks draft Byram who will be ready next season or definitely the season after, it would be crucial for the hawks to find a top 6 winger. With Skinner, Panarin, Dyzingel, Ferland, Nyquist available, the Hawks need to grab at least one of these guys.

Perlini has to be qualified. And will want a raise.

Evolving hockey released their predictions for player contracts based on term and dollars. They were on the nose for the Lindell contract. They say Perlini should get 1.4 on a 1 year deal and almost 2.1 for a 2 year deal.

Kampf should get 1.2 for a 2 year deal
Sikura they're more bearish about and have him pegged at 812 on a 1 year deal.

They said Koekkoek was worth 916k on a 2 year deal.
Panarin-10.5
Dzingel-5.6
Skinner-8.5
Ferland-5.5
Nyquist-6.6
Duchene-7.8
Anders Lee- 5.5

Yeah saw that. The majority they are within 15% accuracy but some they are way off on. Nyquist for example IMO is a $6M guy and Dzingel a $5M a year guy, and Skinner a $8M a year guy. Agree on Duchene, Lee and Panarin. Perlini is not a $2.1M guy...Hawks should trade him if that's the case.

I think it depends on which Perlini you get. Is he the guy that showed absolutely nothing for the first 15 games. Or can he be a 30-40 point forward. I feel like it's the Duclair argument. Stan got **** big time with Duclair's start to last year. But then fizzled quickly. He got traded and produced again. I think Perlini has more hockey sense than Duclair. When the Hawks got Duclair one scout said he skates fast, but has zero hockey sense.

I agree that Duclair is very sensible comparison. So far Perlini hasn't shown a ton except for a few games; the one hat trick game is a fluke looking at his career thus far...take that game away and there's not much to suggest he's earned a big raise. He's only 22 so there's more there but his hockey IQ isn't great either. Skates fast, wicked shot, but needs lots of coaching.
