Tried to make the best team I could using non-ELC players that outperformed their contracts. I look forward to your thoughts and suggestions as to how this team would do and any improvements you would make.
Goal
Bishop is probably one of the best goalies in the league when healthy. Lehner is a great backup for this team if Bishop goes down with an injury now that Korn in NY has fixed his positioning and attitude. Two of the Vezina finalists tending net.
Defense
Norris finalist who does it all paired a smooth skating puck mover. Nashville's defense is the envy of the league and I've paired two of their most cost effective guys on the second pair. Third pair is a guy who came out of nowhere and can really move the puck effectively with a hard working defender with a cannon for a shot.
Forward
First line features the league's uber pest, one of the fastest guys in the league who can really pile up points, and a severely underrated play making power forward. Second line is a dynamic puck carrier, with one of the top two way centers in the game and a lethal sniper. Third line has a blend of speed, skill and shut-down ability. Fourth line is a mix of guys who were of tremendous value to their teams last year and can overwhelm competition playing this far down the line up.
Scratches
A couple other guys I feel could easily play in the bottom half of the lineup and had great years relative to their contract values.
