Disagree. I think he nailed the drouin Trade. Drouin won’t do anything on the Habs. He’s not good enough to carry offense. He’d look great next to mackinnon though

We still can get way more than that. Playing with Domi, he's had 50 pts in 60 games at the start of the year. We are keeping him, especially if trading means having that...

I want to keep Drouin as far away as possible from my Teams with how obsessed the Habs fan base are for trading him there.

and no I wouldn't do that deal based on the value. On paper its close but when it comes to the the impact Zads has on the team...I take Zads playing big minutes and being a truck like he was in the playoffs over Drouin and his secondary scoring with 0 defensively ability. Its easier to get a Drouin type player, Avs dont have another Zads laying around in the system

Youre right, just thinking. Actually a good chance he goes 3rd which leaves you with Turcotte, a player who will likely be better than Drouin in the future.

Very big on Turcotte, but with Jost showing his potential at the 2C role when he got the chance in the playoffs. He makes that Turcotte pick very interesting . Since they are very similar players in terms of skillset (Turcotte is ahead of Jost but comparison what makes them good players).

Dach and Boldy would be reaching a bit at 4 but they are players that fit the avs currently mold and make up. If they did pass on Turcotte/Byram. I wouldnt be shocked if those were the dudes. Even though Friedman and Marek were just chatting about if any team could afford to wait for Pod, it would be the Avs with that pick

The potential for drouin is still far greater than the potential anyone the habs will be selecting at 16th. You don't give up on somebody who just turned 24 because they only scored 53 pts, which is good but not what the crazy expectations are from the media. If you had that attitude then the 16th pick will fail you too, sometimes you have to be patient with some players.
