Description
Swap Krug for RW of future Nichuskin who is better fit in Boston. Krug has heart but will demand too much $ for a 4/5 PP D guy. Liles can pick up PP duties and supply depth. Trade Spooner and futures for Dumba whoas a R shot Dman, has upside. Resign Stempniak for a low cost placeholder for Senyshyn.

Some interesting moves. 1st off, trading for Nichuskin isn't a bad idea, but you're overpaying for him. Debrusk is enough straight up, IMO, or Hayes and Krug. Rather keep Debrusk in the fold. I love the idea of Dumba coming to Boston, would be great. Not sure about the Yandle signing, would prefer 3-4 years tops at that price. Is Okposo maybe a better investment for Boston than Yandle?

Came to say this. Nichuskin is a decent add for the team, but that package is a lot to give up for him. He hasn't proved a whole lot yet, and to give up Krug AND Debrusk for him is an overpayment.

Wild say no. Dumba is available, but the cost would be must higher price than the rest of our Dman.

I agree Dallas trade is a bit heavy. The thought is to pay a little extra to take Hayes. I would only do that if they signed Vesey. It is certainlu risk=reward. Nichushkin could be next top power forward or head to KHL. Playing time was an issue in Dallas. It would be fun to see him with two hardworking fwds in Marchy/Bergy. It is a bet placed on potential and fit. I had hoped he would have been included in Seguin trade and is still only 21. The Dumba deal might need a throw in like Lauzon. The hope is that he comes cheaper than Trouba. We won't know market till RFA's start to move. I'd rather trade for R shot Dman and sign L shot FA Dman. I agree 3-4 yrs would be better for Yandle. The might be better looking at Campbell or Goligoski for high value short term deal.

You should alert the rest of your fanbase, they basically say hes worth a 2 year 2M dollar contract.

It's all he's earned so far. He has the potential to be worth much more. Hence the bridge contract.

Dumba's contract options are a Nino type bridge $2.7mx3, or a Brodin type $4mx6. He's not worth Barrie $6mx6 right now, if he wants that then the a bridge contract makes sense. He's cocky enough to bet on himself and take a bridge, then a big payday.

Do you really think hes worth a 49 point 24ish year old center making 950k plus a 1st rounder?

Yeah, Spooner + 1st is a good package for Dumba. Anything more and you're moving in the "not worth it," territory.

My first choice was Scandella with that package but I chaged it to Dumba figuring it might be easier sign a L shot FA (like Yandle. Goligoski, Campbell, etc). I prefer Trouba but he might be too pricey. The Spooner + 1st hopefully would entice offense starved Wild.

Scandella for Spooner (small +) would have done it.

Dumba at this point is still worth at least his 7oa pick (is Wild front office thinks). He's a 22 yr old RHD already playing in the NHL with a ton of potential upside.

You put the plus on the wrong side homie. A 26 year old #4 D is not better than a 24yr rook C who gets 49 points and WILL get more next season.

/shrug. I still think C's need to win FO's. Wild already have a undersized centre in Granlund. Spooner isn't really of interest to me other than his salary. That being said haven't seen enough of him to get a good eye test.

Spooner probably wouldn't be a target of the Wild as a primary trade option for one of our D. He's an option, yes.

Spooner is like Jeff Skinner at C. They both go 10-2 and gain speed while doing so. Spooner has a lesser shot than Skinner, but is a better passer. He's probally one of the top 30 best values in the league at 950k.
