Solid bottom 6

Description
2 simple trades and getting rid of dead weight. Mittelstadt and Eakin can swap if Mittelstadt doesn't take a step up, but the bottem 6 is very solid. If Thompson can take a step forward, you should expect over 25 points for every member of that bottom 6. Nelson and Borgen compete for Bogosian's spot until he gets back. Even with this team, you still have our #7 overall pick, Luukkonnen, Asplund, Borgen, and even O'Regan and Ruotsalainen if they can prove their abilities coming up after this season.

Eakin is alright, but you can replace him with JT Miller and it's essentially the same thing. Would any OTT, MTL, or CBJ fans care to comment if Tierney, Danault, or Jenner would be available for a fair price?

Yes from Vegas

on a side note,

Hypothetically what would you trade Mittelstadt for

Also WPG should take that deal IMO

pretty nicely done if you could actually clear that cap space

Mittlestadt wont be ready for a 2C yet. Give him maybe another year. And im not sure why everyone is so high on Cody Eakin. He is just like all of the other vegas players, gets alot of icetime and eventually gets paid...

I'm not super high on Eakin either, but I just don't know how many 2-3C's are available on the market. JT Miller is obvious, but I'm not sure if he's a 12+ faceoffs-per-game guy. Hayes would be an overpay, but I would love guys like Tierney, Danault, or Boone Jenner, but I don't think they will be available

Mittelstadt's value is tough to judge right now because he clearly was not ready for the NHL last season. That being said, if he puts on some weight in the offseason, gets better defensively and on faceoffs, and gets some better wingers, he could take a huge leap. His upside is crazy. What exactly were you looking to trade? I don't think they would take draft picks for him, but a lockdown top 4D and a top 6 forward under the age of 26 would probably do it

I love the Tampa trade. Miller may be expendable and moving Callahan and Miller will save over $11,000,000 while receiving a second and C+/B- prospect. I think if Buffalo were to replace Fitzgerald with Nelson, Tampa would me more inclined to make the trade. I wish I could hear from Tampa fans regarding this trade.
I would rather keep Ristolainen, Rasmus and 2019 1st round pick (SJS) than have Trouba, Jacob [RFA Rights] and Perreault, Mathieu
But over all, I like the team, nice job.
BTW what was the Vegas trade?
