Description

MacDonald to Ottawa is an expensive salary clear, with three picks going to OTT.
The deal with DAL clears some salary issues (Johns is longtime concussion and may never play again). Hagg is near the top of the league in blocks and hits, Strome and Sandstrom are very good prospects.
TOR clears 1.2mil in salary, gets an expiring contract on a physical dman who had a great year, get a very good dman prospect in yegor and a high 2nd.

Are they overpays? Yes I think so, (in every case) but I did them to be cap compliant and fill real needs. None of the top prospects were dealt and the acquisitions are all still young. It would be interesting to what DAL, TOR, OTT fans would say; yes or no?

You could probably remove the highest pick in each trade and it would be closer to a "real deal".

Lindell and Ghost are probably interchangeable, but with 7mil in cap space still, you could always deal one for a Trouba, a Subban or someone similar.
