why pay gardiner all that money to be a third pair guy? he seems a bit redundant with the dman you have now. Sign a guy like jordie benn or ben chariot as a depth guy who can play d and belong on that last pair. Save the cash. I cant see Toronto doing that deal. Not sure Nashville does it either. They probably cant afford vorakek without sending money out in return. Its a good base to start but probably needs some finishing.

My thought process for the Toronto trade was basically Kadri for Gudas and more cap space, patty m was there too push the deal through and to get another ~5 mil in cap space to sign marner as with nyquist and dzingel my thoughts were have 4 skilled lines, if you look at that 3rd line teams would kill for that and the 4th line is two young rookies that are highly touted as well as dzingel who scored a good amount of points last year and seeing if you can keep that rolling and help the young kids is personally prefer to have those very skilled 3rd and 4th line as for the D I forgot to solve that problem and would solve it in a future one but on this one I tried for a more skill base team, a Toronto approach if you will lol, again this is my first one I’ll get better over time with these
